Tuesday's Child: Eric

Above all, Eric loves cooking. Learning new recipes to share with others is the 19-year-old’s favorite pastime.

He dreams of becoming a professional chef some day and was thrilled to have the opportunity to visit a culinary arts facility where he learned the art of making pasta. Under the guidance of a chef, he carefully mixed, rolled and shaped the noodles. Delighted with the result, Eric looked forward to replicating his creation for his friends later that day.

Eric was happy to find a job in a local fast food restaurant and is determined to become a pizza expert. His next step is to attend a culinary school when he graduates from high school.

When not in the kitchen, Eric keeps busy with a variety of other activities including biking, hiking, drawing and playing video games. He describes himself as funny and cool. His social worker says he is very caring and will reach out to others to help them.

Eric wants very much to be adopted and envisions spending many happy hours cooking for a family he can call his own. He is close to his sister and it is important that they remain in contact.

Eric and other children wait and hope to be adopted. For information, contact Sarah Marino at smarino@adopt.org or call (267) 443-1872. Visit the Adoption Center website www.adopt.org.
