The Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Washington Redskins, 32-27, today behind a terrific effort from quarterback Carson Wentz and wide receiver DeSean Jackson. Wentz and Jackson put on quite a show for the hometown fans at Lincoln Financial Field.

Wentz completed 28-of-39 passes for 313 yards while throwing three touchdown passes. Jackson caught two of those passes for scores. He had a spectacular 51-yard TD reception and a 53-yard scoring strike. Jackson caught eight passes for 154 yards and two TDs.

After trailing 17-0 in the first half, the Eagles were able to close the gap with the passing combination of Wentz and Jackson. The Redskins held a 20-7 lead at the end of the first half. However, the Eagles rallied to take a 21-20 lead in the third quarter. The Eagles held on to grab their first win of the season.

Philadelphia will play the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday, Sept. 15 on the road. The kickoff for this Sunday night matchup is 8:20 p.m. on NBC10.
