The Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce has announced that Lynn Utter, president and chief operating officer of Knoll Office will receive the 2015 Paradigm Award, the region’s most prestigious award for businesswomen.

The award is presented annually to a singular woman in business whose outstanding professional and personal achievements serve as a model of excellence. The honoree’s leadership and dedication contribute significantly to the Greater Philadelphia and she is respected in her profession and throughout the community for her commitment to excellence and her vision for women and future generations.

Knoll was appointed president and chief operating officer of Knoll, North America in 2008 and her role was expanded to include global responsibilities for Knoll Office in 2011. Knoll is a leading designer and manufacturer of branded furniture and textiles.

The business community will celebrate Utter’s accomplishments with the presentation of the Paradigm crystal sculpture at a luncheon March 27 at the Hyatt at the Bellevue.

State Rep. Margo Davidson sponsors small business expo

State Rep Margo Davidson will sponsor a small business expo Nov. 13 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Upper Darby campus of Delaware County Community College, 1570 Garrett Rd. in the Barclay Square Shopping Center.

Information will be provided on business startup do’s and don’ts, using social media to build your brand, money management for business success, and personal brand marketing and nonprofit startup and development.

Weichert launches annual toy drive

The Weichert Family of Companies has kicked off its 36th annual toy drive. Members of the community are invited to drop off new, unwrapped toys at the company’s sales offices through Dec. 12. The toys will be delivered throughout the holidays in conjunction with local charities that assist financially and physically disadvantaged children.

Weichert employees at the company’s corporate headquarters in Morris Plains, N.J., as well as in other company locations throughout the United States, will participate in the yearly community service event.
