Najee K. Jones, a skilled tradesman, died on Monday, Aug. 5, 2019. He was 25.
He was born on June 4, 1994 in Philadelphia to Lisa Dorman and Shakar Bey. He attended Bethel Deliverance International Church since age four.
Jones attended Imhotep Charter High school where he majored in business and played football. He graduated in 2012 with honors and attended Thaddeus Stevens College with a football scholarship. He majored in plumbing and automotive technology.
Jones was very skilled in various trades. He worked various jobs in his field.
He enjoyed football, basketball and playing with his brothers and friends. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family.
“He was a fun-loving gentleman with a beautiful smile,” his family said in a tribute.
“Everyone knew Najee by his big smile. He loved his family and friends and he made everyone around him feel loved.”
In addition to his parents, he is survived by: his siblings, Shakar and Nasir Jones; cousins, Alicia Dorman, Jayme Jones, Shakeena Dorman, Jamila Jones, Jhalil Dorman, Lamont Jones, Hafeez Dorman, Christina Jones, Krista Jones and Nieheem Goodman; aunts, Jacqueline Williams, Monique Urquhart, Carmen “Missey” Jones and Marie Johnson; uncles, Eddie Dorman and Chirs Urquhart; niece, Jayda Jones; nephews, Josiah Jones and Symir Jones and other relatives and friends.
Services were held Aug. 12 at Bethel Deliverance International Church, 2929 W. Cheltenham Ave.
Emmanuel Johnson Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
