Eva Mae Daniels, a retired federal government employee, died on Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2019. She was 74.
She was born on Nov. 12, 1945 in Georgia to Everet and Albirda Lawson. She moved to Philadelphia as a young girl and was educated in the city’s public school system.
After graduating from the OIC trade school, Daniels worked at the federal Defense Personnel Support Center until she retired.
She married the late Nathan Daniels on May 10, 1962 and three children were born to their union.
She enjoyed being at home, shopping, watching television, cooking, spending time with her children and grandchildren and getting her hair done every other Thursday.
Her family said she was the “epitome of beauty and grace.”
She was preceded in death by her husband; sister, Jannie Thompson; sister-in-law, Margaret; and grandson, Edward Dolison Jr.
She is survived by: her children, Angela, Nathan (Karen) and Toddette; grandchildren, Kareem, Khaleef, Aliya (Ahkeem), Ameena and Khalil; great-grandchildren, Jayden, Na’Ayla, Sahar and Sarai; sister, Bertha; sisters-in-law, Anna Mae and Luther Mae; and other relatives and friends.
Services were held Dec. 28 at New Temple Baptist Church, 2633-45 Wharton St. She is buried in Mount Lawn Cemetery.
