The investigation continues into an incident in which a nine-year old girl was abducted while she was asleep and then sexually assaulted a few blocks from her home.
Police are looking for a Black male with a thin build, nearly 6 feet tall and wearing gray sweatpants and a black T-shirt. Investigators said that last Wednesday, the suspect entered the home of the victim, which is in the 4600 block of D Street in the city’s Feltonville section.
According to police, the suspect, who was naked, entered the home sometime around 4:30 a.m. and was wearing a mask. Investigators said the assailant gained entry through the front door, which appeared to have been unlocked. The traumatized victim managed to get home about 90 minutes later. She was then rushed to the hospital. As of Tribune press time the suspect remains at large.
