In conjunction with Giving Tuesday, Philadelphia Eagles offensive tackle Lane Johnson is expected to announce that he will donate 100 percent of the proceeds from his new clothing line, LJ65, to the Fund for the School District of Philadelphia. Earlier this month, Lane said he would donate 65 percent of the proceeds.

The Fund is a nonprofit that connects the private sector and the SDP through philanthropic partnerships. The announcement will take place Tuesday afternoon at F. Amedee Bregy School, 1700 Bigler St., with Johnson, SDP Superintendent Dr. William R. Hite Jr., and Donna Frisby-Greenwood, the CEO and president of the Fund, in attendance.

On Monday, the SDP began its Giving Week activities by highlighting mentoring opportunities that volunteers from the professional services firm EY have provided at Frankford High School since 2009. EY staff spends several hours at Frankford, 5000 Oxford Ave., meeting with students from grades 10-12 as part of the organization's College Mentoring for Access and Persistence Program (MAP), which currently operates in 34 cities.

Both events are part of an entire week of showcasing giving back at the SDP from Nov. 27-Dec. 1. To donate to the Fund, visit:
