Citizens Bank names Small Business Community Champions
Glorious Works Publishing in Upper Darby and Hickory Veterinary Hospital in Plymouth Meeting are winners of Citizens Bank’s 2019 Small Business Community Champion Awards.
The bank recently announced the winners of its awards in the Philadelphia, Boston, Detroit and Pittsburgh areas.
A $20,000 prize and a $10,000 prize were awarded in each market to small business owners who demonstrated how investing in their businesses strengthens both their business growth and the community.
Glorious Works plans to host free writing workshops and offer discounted publishing services for women and children in low-income communities. Hickory Veterinary Hospital plans to create a fund to help lower-income families pay for the care of their critically sick or injured pets.
This is the second year of the Citizens Bank Small Business Community Champion Awards, which were created to celebrate the impact of small businesses on the communities they serve.
