The Beyond the Bars music program hosted its first ever Live at the Free Library event on Saturday, the first in a series to give inner city youth a platform to perform and raise awareness around social justice issues. Saturday’s event included vocal and instrumental music by students in Beyond the Bars weekly class; a performance by Hip-Hop artist Chill Moody; and a discussion on mass incarceration led by Jondhi Harrell, Executive Director of the Center for Returning Citizens.
