Black Men Create A Safe Space Through Mentorship
Vincent Garrett and Kevin Gold, both teachers at the Grover Cleveland campus of Mastery Charter, decided to answer the call for leaders in the community by starting an after-school mentorship program that provides a safe space for young Black boys to bond over education and brotherhood.
Garrett and Gold are in the process of expanding the after school program into an 8-week mentorship program that will be hosted by Arcadia University with the intent of developing 35-40 young boys into young men.
