Oct. 11 - Yoga at the Library

From 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. join for an hour-long, weekly yoga class which will offer participants a judgment free space for gentle movement, quiet meditation and guided breath work. Our aim will be to decrease perceived levels of stress, and increase overall well being. This class is recommended for all ages and backgrounds, no yoga experience is necessary. Please bring your own yoga mat (and block, if you use one) and wear comfy clothing. You can work from a chair, or the floor.

Our teacher, Meredith Jacoby has been teaching since 1999 and currently teaches at Magu Yoga in Mt. Airy. Location: Lovett Memorial Library, 6945 Germantown Ave.

Oct. 11 — Wissahickon 95th celebration

From 5:30 to 9 p.m. Friends of the Wissahickon is celebrating 95 years of successful stewardship of Wissahickon Valley Park with Love Where You Live, a 95th Anniversary Celebration Party at Erdenheim Farm. For more information contact Sarah Marley at marley@fow.org.

Oct. 12 — Harvest Festival 2019

11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Bring your family to enjoy hayrides to AdventureWoods playground, meeting the goats, face painting and other kids’ activities, live music, cider pressing, farm fresh food for sale, a fruit tree giveaway, kombucha, and much more during the Harvest Festival 2019 for free. Location: Awbury Arboretum Agricultural Village, 6336 Ardleigh St.

Oct. 15 — Captain’s Townhall Meeting

From 6 to 7 p.m., Captain Smith and the 14th District police officers invite you to attend this monthly meetings to share your questions and concerns about your community, as well as work to build a trusting relationship with your local officers.
