Oct. 30 — Autumn on the Avenue

From 3:30 to 6 p.m. give the kids an extra opportunity for their Halloween costumes at Autumn on the Avenue. The Fourth annual trick-or-treat (and activities from ARTrageous Brush & Flow, Handcraft Workshop, Bella Mosaic, Historic Wyck, and more) is on the 6700 and 6800 blocks of Germantown Avenue, including the Mount Airy BID’s new pocket parks. (Please note, there will be no street closure, so use caution crossing the Avenue.)

Oct. 31 — Trunk or Treat @ Pleasant Playground

Calling all neighbors! We need your support. We Heard You and Pleasant Advisory Council is hosting a trunk or treat at Pleasant Playground on Halloween from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Come out and deck your trunks out with your favorite Halloween or harvest theme for the trunk or treaters. Nov. 1 — Yoga at the Library

Join us for an hour-long, weekly yoga class which will offer participants a judgment free space for gentle movement, quiet meditation and guided breath work. Our aim will be to decrease perceived levels of stress, and increase overall well being. This class is recommended for all ages and backgrounds, no yoga experience is necessary. Please bring your own yoga mat (and block, if you use one) and wear comfy clothing. You can work from a chair, or the floor.

Our teacher, Meredith Jacoby has been teaching since 1999 and currently teaches at Magu Yoga in Mt. Airy. Time: 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Location: Lovett Memorial Library, 6945 Germantown Ave.
