Idris Elba started filming "Concrete Cowboys" in Philadelphia last week.

The movie, which is based on the award-winning novel "Ghetto Cowboy" by Greg Neri, also stars Caleb McLaughlin (of "Stranger Things" fame).

McLaughlin plays Cole, a teenage boy who is forced to live with his estranged father, Harp (Elba), in North Philadelphia, according to IMDB.com. Harp is a Black urban cowboy, and he introduces Cole to the world of urban horseback riding.

The screenplay was written by Ricky Staub and Dan Walser. Staub is also directing the film.

A release date for the film has not yet been set.
