Comedian Paul Mooney‘s twin sons took to social media to clear up what’s going on with their father. Recently, Richard Pryor‘s former bodyguard, Rashon Khan, who has a tell-all book coming out, claimed Paul Mooney,78, had sex with Pryor’s then underage son Richard, Jr. Pryor’s ex-wife Jennifer Lee, who remarried him before the comedian died in 2005, confirmed this. Well, Daryl and Dwayne Mooney say first their father isn’t in hiding, but he’s not well. The Mooney brothers claim their dad at this point doesn’t even know who they are let alone who Richard Pryor is. Rumors of Paul Mooney having dementia have been out for some time. The Mooney brothers confirm Mooney was only introducing new acts then coming off stage himself after only a few minutes. They also say their dad’s health is the reason Mooney isn’t addressing these allegations himself. The brothers made it clear that they don’t buy it. They also asked what took so long for this to come out. They also claim they’ve only seen their dad with women and gay rumors are all over Hollywood about many entertainers anyway. The Mooney brothers ask a lot of questions and say no one should bother unless Richard Pryor Jr., the alleged victim, names Paul Mooney himself.

Kevin Hart has been released from the hospital and the long road to rehab has begun. Unfortunately, his friends tried to run some interference to the media by saying the comedian was fine and he was walking around. Then reports came out that his spine had to be fused in three different places for the fractures. You’re not walking around in that case. The car accident that caused this is still under investigation. Hart’s friend Jared Black and Black’s fiancée, Rebecca Broxterman, who is also the personal trainer to Hart’s wife Eniko Parrish-Hart, were also in the car. Reportedly, Hart must have round the clock care. He can’t work for four months. He must wear a back brace and outpatient care at least three times a week. Get well soon nephew!

Lamar Odom is coming to “Dancing With The Stars” and he’s got a new book out. First the book: the former NBA star and ex-husband to Khloe Kardashian says he wants to inspire people. His first book spilled about his drug use and some Kardashian secrets like his Khloe beating up a stripper. In the new book, “Darkness To Light,” Odom alleges Mavericks owner Mark Cuban was not only verbally abusive, but actually kicked Odom in the shin during a game. Odom also writes Cuban didn’t keep his promise to support Odom like family. Odom covers the death of his 6-month old son with ex-girlfriend Liza Morales, the mother of his other two children. Odom also spills more reality show, Kardashian and drug addiction secrets. Odom has a new girlfriend personal trainer/life coach Sabrina Parr. The two are filming a new reality show together. Odom says this relationship different from all the other because … Parr is Black. Hmmmmm!

J-Lo has Oscar buzz! “Hustlers” is the gritty new movie based on a true story about the goings on at a strip club when the women who work there begin embezzling money from the stock brokers and CEO’s who patronize the club. The ensemble cast lead by Jennifer Lopez. Lopez is getting much acclaim for losing the glamorous stage persona and getting the club atmosphere rolling. “Hustlers” also stars Cardi B, Lizzo, Constance Wu, Julia Stiles and KeKe Palmer. There’s also a rumor that Lopez may be the halftime headliner at the 2020 Super Bowl. The singer/dancer/actress played coy and only stated she couldn’t say that she wouldn’t love it. “Hustlers” is in theaters today.

Eddie Murphy is returning to stand-up comedy. The comedian has quite a busy slate. First “Dolemite Is My Name” is the bio-pic on comedian/actor/entrepreneur Rudy Ray Moore. Moore is best remembered for the character Dolemite in several films in the 1970s blaxploitation era. Dolemite Is My Name hits theaters Oct. 4 and then begins streaming on Netflix Oct. 25th. Next up, Murphy is filming “Coming To America II.” Comedienne Luenell is co-starring and gave me the scoop. You can see our interview on my WDASFM.com Patty TV page. Murphy will host “Saturday Night Live”’s Christmas show Dec. 21 on NBC. Finally, the 58-year-old comedian said at the Toronto Film Festival that it was time for him to get off the couch. No comedy show dates have been confirmed as of press time, but the plan is for Murphy to hit the road the first of the year.

Tracee Ellis Ross graces the cover of the October issue of Essence magazine. It’s the magazine’s hair issue and the perfect time to introduce Ross’ hair care line Pattern Beauty. The Golden Globe-winning actress has a lot going on. Her hit sitcom “black-ish” returns to ABC with its season premiere Tuesday, Sept. 24 at 9:30 p.m. The spin-off, that Ross is narrating and producing, called “mixed-ish,” also begins a half hour earlier at 9pm on the same night. “Mixed-ish” is a flashback series on Ross’ “black-ish” character Bow and her 80s childhood starring Tika Sumpter (“The Haves & Have Nots”), Mark-Paul Gosselaar (“NYPD Blue;” “Saved By The Bell”) and Arica Himmel as Young Bow. Sean Puffy/Diddy Combs and Lori Harvey are together and putting a pin in those pregnancy rumors. Despite wide reporting that the May-December romance ended between the 22-year-old socialite and model and the 49-year-old music mogul, they were photographed vacationing in Cabo San Lucas together. In one of the photos, Diddy is seen rubbing Lori’s stomach. Social media went wild with the idea she could be with child. Lori took to her social media and posted several bikini shots showing she looks far from pregnant. Neither has commented on their relationship.

Speaking of May-December romances, published reports say Jamie Foxx and singer Sela Vave are the new undercover couple following his Katie Holmes‘ breakup. Vave is also said to be 19 and not 21 as earlier reported. Foxx and Vave aren’t commenting, but sources say he’s also mentoring her in the business. Reportedly, Foxx keeps Vave working day and night in the studio while he goes out and parties. Foxx and Vave haven’t commented on any of these recent romance reports. However, Foxx previously denied any romantic involvement and said he’s been mentoring young performers like Ed Sheeran, Nick Cannon and Ne-Yo for years. The 51-year-old Oscar winner also previously added he doesn’t date women his daughter’s age.

We remember actor John Wesley who died after a battle with cancer. Wesley is one of those actors constantly appearing on some of TV’s favorite programs over the past thirty years including 227 (Barney, the loud laughing men’s lodge member), Martin (as Mr. Jim, the barbershop owner), The Jamie Foxx Show (as the janitor), and was famously clocked by Uncle Phil in The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air. His more recent work included TV’s “NCIS” and “Heart Of Dixie” and the films “The Wood” and “Remember The Titians.” Wesley was 72.

The iconic and inspirational actress Valerie Harper died after her brave battle with cancer. Initially diagnosed with lung cancer, she beat it, but then developed cancer cells in the fluid surrounding her brain. In 2013, Harper was given six months to live, but inspired her fans by saying don’t have the funeral until it’s time to have the funeral. She signed on with “Dancing With The Stars” and made TV appearances on the sitcoms “Melissa And Joey” and “2 Broke Girls.” Plus, Harper returned to Broadway in her Tony-nominated role as Tallulah Bankhead in “Looped.” Harper was best known for winning four Emmys as Rhoda Morgenstern in the sitcoms “The Mary Tyler Moore Show” and its spinoff Rhoda in the 70’s. In the 1980’s, she won a huge studio lawsuit for being wrongly terminated from her NBC family sitcom “Valerie,” re-titled “The Hogan Family” when her character was killed off. Before she died, Harper reunited with her former “Mary Tyler Moore Show” cast members Betty White and Mary herself in “Hot In Cleveland” in 2013. Harper was 80.
