Louis Bolling, Haverford College assistant women’s tennis coach, recently attended the NCAA Leadership Institute. The institute assisted 44 ethnic minorities and females in strategically planning their careers through the exploration of the college sports community. The week-long workshop offered programming held at the Paul Rizzo Conference Center in Chapel Hill, N.C.
The group visited a number of NCAA schools including University of North Carolina (Chapel Hill), Duke, North Carolina Central, St. Augustine’s University, North Carolina State and William Peace. The program gave the participants a chance to diversify their network, become exposed to major stakeholders within the college administration and receive opportunities to serve within the NCAA governance structure as they advance their careers. Temple men’s basketball announces Gotham Classic opponents and game times
The Temple men’s basketball schedule is complete with the announcement of the Owls opponents in the Gotham Classic.
Temple will host Alcorn State on Dec. 17 and Canisius on Dec. 19 before traveling to Madison Square Garden for a nationally televised (ESPN2) game against Syracuse on Dec. 22. The Owls conclude the tournament with a home game against Detroit Mercy on Dec. 28.
The Owls also released the times of their home games for 2012-13 season that tips off at Kent State in a nationally televised (ESPN) game on Nov. 13.
