The “I Can” Empowerment Expo will be held May 5 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Union AME Church, 1600 West Jefferson Street.

Activities for the day’s event include: shopping for products and services as sold by community members, financial workshop break-out sessions for all ages and the official unveiling of I Can Ministries, Inc.’s first book “Rescue ME! Save the Children,” a guide for parenting in the 21st century and beyond.

According to Rev. Dr. Mary Lou Moore, I Can Ministries, Inc., is a new local non-profit dedicated to the empowerment of people who are of low socio-economic demographics. This will be accomplished through educational training, religious support and charitable giving as provided by members of I Can Ministries, Inc., and by partnering with other community leaders.

The Expo will feature various vendors and activities for children, including a moon bounce, a clown and face painting. Moore will also be there signing copies of her book.

This is going to be a huge event...Fun for the whole family with moon bounces for the kids (monitired my temple students)...a clown...and a cotton candy machine.
For the adults: financial workshop with Wells Fargo that will enhance your knowledge of money and banking for future goals along with shopping with selected vendors of the community. You don't want to miss this event...Ill see you guys there!
