Holiday fair with local artists to be held Saturday

The West Philadelphia Cultural Alliance and Paul Robeson House will present a holiday fair featuring vendors and local artists from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at 4949-51 Walnut St. The vendors will have housewares, apparel, jewelry and artwork.

Kulu Mele to premiere new show

Kulu Mele African Dance and Drum Ensemble will premiere an all-new show, “Journey,” at 7 p.m. Saturday at William Penn Charter School’s Kurtz Center for the Performing Arts, 3000 W. School House Lane. The show will feature traditional West African dance and drumming, plus Afro-Cuban works and hip-hop.

State lawmaker to host two events

State Rep. Pamela A. DeLissio will hold a town hall meeting at 7 p.m. Dec. 4 at the Wolcoff Auditorium at Roxborough Memorial Hospital, 5800 Ridge Ave. The town hall will focus on “Unfinished Business” in the Pennsylvania House and how the makeup of the Pennsylvania legislature contributes to this unfinished business.

DeLissio will host an holiday open house from 4 to 7 p.m. Dec. 12 at 6511 Ridge Ave. Constituents of the 194th Legislative District will be treated to light refreshments and camaraderie with staff, neighbors and friends.

Concert at church to feature tribute to King

A tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Friends featuring bass baritone Ronald Campbell accompanied by Everett P. Williams Jr. will be held from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Jan. 9 at Church of the Holy Trinity Rittenhouse Square, 1904 Walnut St.
