Precious Thomas, now Precious Graham, was married to Donald Graham in a beautiful ceremony in exotic Cancun, Mexico. The couple exchanged vows on Oct. 13. Everyone, especially Donald, was awed by Precious who was stunning in her bridal gown. It was a Galina Signature, Chameuse halter with ruched surplice bodice. Her flowers were a fragrant, floral melange of Gerber daisies, roses and mums.
Precious, 37, is a native of Philadelphia, the daughter of Robin Thomas and the late Leonard Gist. Precious is an adult practice coordinator at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
Donald, 40, is the son of Donald Graham Sr. and Connie Graham. He is currently an accident underwriter at CIGNA Group Insurance. Both Donald and Precious hold undergraduate degrees in business management and they are currently pursuing their MBAs.
The Grahams are a blended family with six children between them. As ordained ministers they share a passion for spreading the gospel. Together they host a weekly talk show entitled “In His Name” where they engage their listeners with a message of love, grace and spiritual redemption while addressing the issues of everyday life.
How They Met
Donald and Precious met at their house of worship, Enon Tabernacle Baptist Church in Philadelphia. They developed a warm friendship and a positive connection that led to Donald’s proposal to Precious on Dec. 2, 2011. After Donald had prepared a delicious and romantic dinner for his beloved, he sat her down and popped the question, presenting her with an amazing ring.
The Bridal Party
The bridal party consisted of maid of honor Markeesha Peterkin and best man Donald Graham Sr., the groom’s father. The bridal party wore shades of cream and white and gold; the groom wore white linen.
A lovely reception was held at Dreams Cancun, on Himitsu Beach. Precious and Donald danced their first dance as husband and wife to “You and I,” by Stevie Wonder. Guest Nafisa Bunch caught the bouquet and guest Arsenio Ray, Donald’s stepbrother, caught the coveted garter.
Guests celebrating the occasion were: Markesha Peterkin, Darnell Barnes and Jamie Jackson. The groom’s father, Donald Graham Sr. of Staten Island, N.Y. and his, stepmother, Irma Colon-Graham, were also in attendance. Others who helped the lovely bride and groom celebrate their nuptials were Jennette Tucker; Elliott Ray, Andrea Ray, Alex Medina, Jessica Torruella, Darrell Michelle Cuff, Antoinette King, Nota Moore, Andre and Debbie Johnson and Julian and Jasmin Ray.
Precious and Donald reflected on their beautiful day. Precious said, “I practically had a full-blown meltdown two hours before the ceremony because the venue for our reception had to be changed from the gazebo area to a small ballroom due to the gusty wind. Unbeknownst to me my maid of honor and another close friend asked the coordinator to find a more suitable alternative location. We ended up having the reception on a private beach adjacent to the restaurant that catered the dinner. The wind subsided and our reception went off without a hitch. Witnessing how God worked all things together for good, coupled with the opportunity to share such a joyous occasion with our family and friends, made for a day we will cherish for the rest of our lives.”
Precious was very complimentary about the resort’s wedding staff and how very accommodating they were. “From the detailed decorations, the service, the food, and the music, our destination wedding turned out to be better than we could have ever imagined,” she said. Following a fabulous honeymoon at Cancun Resort and Spa where the couple enjoyed beautiful scenery, sand and surf, they returned home to King of Prussia.
Congratulations and very best wishes to Mr. and Mrs. Donald Graham!
