Fearless Philadelphians who are ready to take their skills, whether quirky or creative, to the next level, are invited to The Big Apple to audition for the upcoming season of “America’s Got Talent.” The casting call will be held Feb. 1 & 2 at St. John’s Center Studios, 570 Washington St., in NYC from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Hosted by the popular Nick Cannon, “America’s Got Talent” is the only talent competition show that is open to any age and any talent. The auditions are a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for performers across the country to showcase their talents in 90 seconds to the series’ producers in the hopes of being able to take the stage in front of the judges.
Producers of the entertaining variety show state that “every type of performer is welcome — including musicians, dance crews, magicians, contortionists, comedians, singers, jugglers, animal acts and everything in between.” Last year, the winning act, Richard and Nick Olate of Olate Dogs, beat out thousands of hopefuls to take home the coveted $1 million grand prize and a headlining show in Las Vegas.
Since the first “America’s Got Talent” winner in 2006 was 11 year-old Philadelphian Bianca Ryan, a superb singer and guitarist, it has already been proven that Philadelphia has talent, but why not add your name to the list?
“Philadelphia is the heartbeat of America and has such a unique and eclectic history that we are bound to find unique and fresh talent. We love Philadelphia!” said Supervising Casting Producer Roz Jordan. For complete information and to register for an audition, visit AGTauditions.com.
