President Barack Obama will visit the “Late Show with David Letterman.” The show will air at 11:35 p.m. Sept. 18 on CBS.
This will mark President Obama’s second visit to the “Late Show” since his election as President of the United States in 2008 — he last appeared on the broadcast Sept. 21, 2009.
Including his appearances when he served as U.S. Senator from Illinois and during his 2008 presidential campaign, this will be his seventh overall visit to the “Late Show.”
In related news, the dates and venues have been announced for the 2012 Presidential debates between President Obama and Mitt Romney. Each debate will be broadcast live on ABC, CBS, FOX and NBC, as well as all cable news channels including CNN, Fox News and MSNBC. The debate schedule is as follows:
October 3 — Topic: Domestic policy
Air Time: 9 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.
Location: University of Denver in Denver, Colo.
Moderator: Jim Lehrer (Host of “NewsHour” on PBS)
October 16 — Topic: Town meeting format including foreign and domestic policy
Air Time: 9 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.
Location: Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York

October 22 — Topic: Foreign Policy
Air Time: 9 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.
