Full slate of high school hoops

If you are a high school basketball fan, the Public and Catholic League playoffs should provide a lot of excitement this weekend. In the Public League, there will be plenty of action on Saturday, Feb. 16 with Martin Luther King facing Bartram at 1 p.m. and Imhotep Charter playing Philadelphia Electrical at 2:45p.m. Both games will take place at Ben Franklin High School.

In the other doubleheader, Communications Tech will play Constitution at 4:15 p.m. and Math, Civics & Science will battle Vaux at 6 p.m. Both games will be held at Southern.

In the Catholic League, Archbishop Ryan will travel to Archbishop Carroll for a 7 p.m. tipoff. La Salle will visit St. Joseph’s Prep at 3:30 p.m. Roman Catholic will play at Philadelphia University at 7 p.m. Neumann-Goretti will host a playoff opponent at 7 p.m. All Catholic League games will be played on Friday, Feb. 15.

In girls’ playoff action, Imhotep Charter will play the High School of the Future at Germantown High School. The game will begin at 3:15 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 15. Girls High will play Central on Saturday, Feb. 16 at 11:00 a.m. Freire Charter will face Prep Charter at 1:00 p.m. Both games will be played at Germantown High School.
